Tim Berners-Lee, the creator of URLs and the concept of hyper-links, and therefore credited with the creation of the World-wide Web, is named on the Queen’s New Years honours list to be knighted.
Java2 SDK 1.5 alpha now available from Sun’s site
The early release last week was apparently for JavaLobby website members only, but it is now also available from http://java.sun.com
Java 2 SDK v1.5 alpha available for download?
www.java.net yesterday had a link to an alpha release of ‘Tiger’ (1.5) for download, but today the link and the news article seem to have been removed.
As it was only an alpha release, I wonder if there were some serious bugs and the download was pulled?
