The article gives exmaples of usage, plus also covers the use of wildcards with Generics, a feature which I hadn’t seen mentioned yet elsewhere in any other docs.
Virginia College annouces performance improvements in ‘Big Mac’ supercomputer
Virginia Tech college has annouced performance improvements on their 1150 node Apple Mac supercomputer. Orginally called the ‘Big Mac’ it is now called ‘System X’
Their current performance is upto 12.25 teraflops, or 12 trillion calculations per second, up from 10 terraflops this time last year. November last year they were listed as number 3 in the Top500 supercomputer list.
IBM announce new IBM/Rational design and development products
IBM Rational have announced a whole list of new (or resurrected?) products combining and complementing the IBM Websphere range of products with the analysis and desig products from acquired company Rational.
There seems to be a large overlap in features between the products – read the descriptions on their site here.
