I’ve been having some sporadic issues with my ZoneEdit NameServers resolving my dynamic IP address on my server over the last couple of days, so apologies if you you having issues reaching my site.

I’ve been blogging on this site now since January 2003 and have just recently passed 1000 entries! This started as a personal site to collect together links to news items and things that interested me personally, but as it turned out I also get quite a lot of traffic from blog aggregators, so I guess someone reads this other than me! Thanks to everyone for reading my entries!
MediaWiki install and setup on my server – very simple!
I installed and setup MediaWiki(the wiki system used by Wikipedia) this weekend on my Linux server for a local non-profit (I’ll publish the URL when it’s live) and I have to say this was one of the easiest installs and setups that I’ve seen for a long time. I’ve installed a number of other open source CMS/Wiki type systems in the past, and MediaWiki really stands out as the cream of the crop in terms of ease of use and installation.
