When are the big name-brand Android phones coming?

I don’t want another phone from HTC, since my Windows Mobile HTC phone is a pile of junk. Other than the fact that it survived a full cycle in the washing machine and still works fine, other than that it’s a pile of junk.

So when are the big name manufactures coming out with their Android phones? Seem Motorola are busy working on a Android based phone with some online updatable features, called Blur, which looks interesting. This video also shows the Sony Ericsson Andrioid based phone which looks completely awesome.

Good article on Struts vs Spring MVC

Here’s a good article comparing Spring MVC with Struts, and listing 12 benefits of Spring MVC over Struts.

Having developed with Struts for around 7 years, I’m surprised to hear discussions and comparisons still coming out like this, but I guess since it was the de facto web framework for such a long time there’s still a lot of usage out there.

Analysts call for Microsoft to abandon Zune

Microsoft amazes me sometimes thinking that the can take an already awesome product and make it better in their own Microsoft way. Take the iPod. It’s an awesomely simple design, both physically as a device and from the usability point of view. In sells tons. Everyone has an iPod. Apple took $1.5 billion in revenue last quarter from iPod sales alone. Microsoft took just $211 million from Zune sales.

Why Microsoft thought they could take the iPod and improve it is beyond me. Who do you know who has a Zune? No-one. Exactly what industry analysts are thinking, and are are urging Microsoft to plug this ‘financial sinkhole’ and kill the Zune for good. Ouch.
