It’s finally the end of the road for the 3.5″ floppy disk – PC World in the UK have announced they will no longer be selling blank 3.5″ floppy disks.
I’m actually surprised it’s taken this long – I can’t remember the last time I used a blank floppy for anything – if I’m not using some USB flash drive based device then the next thing is burning a CD or DVD.
