There’s an interesting thread on TheServerSide.com right now collecting a list of Who’s Who in the Java world… most of the obvious are there (James Gosling etc) but theres also a lot of other names of people of other lesser known technologies that obviously have gained respect in the community.
Studio Creator, formally known as Project Rave, will be available in an early-release version for download next month (April 2004).
Studio Creator is being pitched as Sun’s attempt to bring additional developers to the Java platform, in particular Visual Basic developers, by offering a visual tool to aid development.
IBM use the Eclipse open source software platform as the basis for it’s Websphere Studio tool set.
