Groovy 1.0 released!
1.0 of the Groovy scripting language for the Java platform has been released! Groovy has been in development for a long time and has finally made it to 1.0 status. For info check here.
Groovy is a dynamic language that runs on the Java VM and integrates well with Java (and any Java API available). If you have a need to knock up a script quickly then check out Groovy, since if you haven’t seen it already you may be surprised how easy it is to get started if you already have Java experience, since it blends the two worlds of dynamic scripting with Java very well.
